Display Brightness controls not working in Windows 10

Hi all,

If you are having issues with adjusting brightness in of a laptop (HP envy 15 with Intel built-in graphics in my case) running windows 10 this trick might save some time for you.

I tried updating the driver, Uninstalling the driver, running on the build in windows driver but nothing seemed to work.

I came across another solution online and that was to re-enable the PnP Monitor driver under Monitor in Device Manager.

I uninstalled the driver and clicked scan for hardware changes icon to get back the driver and my brightness control started working as expected.
